Services

The Keeler Community Service District serves a small population (66 pop.), situated on the edge of the Owens Drybed Lake between the Sierra Nevada and Death Valley. Water comes from one well. Arsenic and Manganese are above the maximum contaniment level and the Point of Use filters, maintained for 16 years, are now obsolete. See the Feasibility Study considering options for the community. Regulatory jurisdiction has been assumed by the State of California and an Administrator is being assigned to take over financial, operational and administrative duties for 2 years.
